FAQs

The heart of therapy builds a meaningful relationship that supports you as you come to address difficult aspects of your life. It is only through awareness and acceptance that we can take effective action to change something. I work to support you in learning to understand your mind through deep listening and observation. That means looking at where you may hold yourself back or sabotage your efforts. Over time, through practice, you develop confidence to confront the things that once kept you in a limiting pattern, and you cultivate the capacity for conscious choice surrounding how you want to live.
This varies depending on the situation, your individual pace, and the degree of resolution you feel called to undertake. Some people feel better after a few months and are comfortable ending treatment; others need a few years to integrate past experiences and reimagine their futures. What matters is that if you feel called to initiate the process, you start, regardless of whether you can predict how it ends.

I encourage you to inquire with your insurance company as to whether you are eligible for out-of-network benefits. I offer a sliding scale fee structure if need is established.
